Abstract
The National Indian Youth Leadership Project in collaboration with the Borderlands and Tohatchi Boys and Girls Clubs wishes to implement an evaluate a Walking in Beauty prevention intervention. The target population is adolescent Navajo girls living in Gallup/McKinley County, New Mexico. The intervention consists of a number of activities. These include gender-adapted outdoor/experimental education groups, service learning activities, rites-of-passage support groups, talking circles, and relearning traditions. |
